Have you ever wondered how to get your computer to the text or picture you want when you choose the option of shutdown on your computer???
Well, if you do, this is how you do it.
You go into your hard drive (ex. C:) under "My Computer" and go into your "Windows" directory (usually c:windows)
In Windows 98 you have to click the "Show Files" on the left side of the screen. In Windows 95 it isn't required.
Scroll down to the logos.sys file and double click on it.
It will ask you what to open the file with.
Select the MSPaint program to open it with. Then make all the changes that you want and save them.
You probably want to make a copy the logos.sys file in another folder just in case you don't like the changes that you made.
After you have made the changes, save the picture and click on your "Start" button and choose the shut down option and shut down again.
Where it usually says you can now shut your computer off, it has changed to whatever you edited it to be.
So this is kind of just a customization of your personal computer. HAVE FUN!!! and let your imagination run WILD!!!
