Billiard Tips: The Basic Angled Shot

In my opinion, this is the first thing you need to understand when playing pool.

A pool shot


Here, we want to put the blue ball in the corner pocket.

1. In your mind, put an imaginary ball against the blue ball so that it's lined up with the blue ball and the pocket (dashed ball and dashed line).

2. Now to shoot the blue ball in, simply take your stick and hit the cue ball to where the imaginary ball is. This shot does not need to be hit hard.

With few exceptions the blue ball will fall right in.

Go get 'em shark.
