1) Try on Wedding Dresses to see what fits your body type. Looking at the magazines and pictures can give you an idea of what wedding dress you might like. BUT, not what will look good on you. So, be open to trying on different styles before you make up your mind.
2) Never buy a dress the same day you try on. Go back and see it again to make sure that you still love it.
3) If a salesperson asks what your price range is, realize that the wedding gowns they show you will likely be just over the higher end of your price range. So it might make it easier on you to say an amount lower than what you will actually spend.
4) Start shopping for your wedding dress EARLY. Best to start 1 year in advance. 6 months is actually cutting it very close.
5) Keep in mind what you will need for the reception. You may want a less formal gown to change into for the reception, if you like to dance a lot!
