First, I would like to point out, there is no "easy way" to earn money. weather you are retired, a young adult, or a child, the only way that you will earn money is directly proportional to the amount of effort one wants to put into earning money.
If it was easy to earn money, everyone would be wealthy and we all know that that is not true. Of course, a child learns about earning money from his or her parents, and that is the first thing a child will notice. Are the parents ambitious, or do they "put in there time" and come home, watch TV, play video games ect... or do they keep busy, not only in there job or career, but, in there efforts around the house?
Children can earn money by trying to think of the things they can do, but adults hate to do, or just donít have the time to do.
For example, lots of your neighbors have pets. Pets are fun to have around, but they need time and attention. If a child gets out in the neighborhood and meets his neighbors, in a short time the child will know which families may need help with there pets. Dogs need to be walked, and many people feel guilty that there dogs are not walked enough. Get to know these people, offer to take the dog for a walk, and often you will see that people love this job done. Many times this can lead to taking care of pets, especially in the summer, when people go on vacations.
People in the neighborhood need to know that you, the child, are out there, eager to earn money. This is the most important thing. Get to know your neighbors. I realize in this day and age that it may take some help by the parents to get the you out there in the beginning, because we know that there is a danger with meeting people that you donít know. Parents always have to lend a hand, and to keep attentive to whom the children are talking to.
Senior citizens may be a child's best client. Be up front after you get to know some people. Tell them that you are trying to earn money. Ask them if they need things done. Hand out your name and phone number.
Many people at first will say that they don't have jobs for you, but I will guarantee that if they know how to get in touch with you, they will the next time they need something done around the house. Be patient and very polite, and just do your best to be known. Keep handing out your name and phone number, and don't give up.
People will recognize that part of your personality, and you will be known for it the rest of your life.
