Category: Cooking & Food Here is how you can make a delicious Irish boiled dinner. It's good for making your man feel loved and cared for. It's also good for your friends if they want to come over and have a nice dinner! And it's the best for St. Patrick's Day! Ingredients: 1 corned beef brisket 10 potatoes 4 big carrots 1 large head of cabbage A BIG Pot 1 teaspoon black peppercorns and 1 tsp mustard seeds, or contents of seasoning packet included with meat Directions: If you want to eat at 6pm start this at 1pm! I am listing the steps by time: 1pm: remove brisket from packaging. Drain out meat juice. Rinse brisket off with warm water until it doesn't feel slimy and put it in a pot. Add spices and fill with hot water to cover by a couple of inches. Put it on medium heat on the stove and let it boil. 3pm: Peel the potatoes and put them in the pot. 4:30pm: Remove the potatoes and set them aside. 5pm: Wash carrots, remove ends and cut in half. Cut end off of cabbage and slice into 6 wedges. Add to the pot. Put potatoes in oven to keep warm (on very low setting) 6pm: Remove everything from the broth. Slice meat and put on platter with vegetables. Serve with thick slices of bread, butter, and spicy brown mustard for the meat. Serve with a nice Irish beer and watch your guests say, "YUM!"
